Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, I realized my love for science and technology from an early age. Subsequently, I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from Georgia State University. Over the course of my studies, I took pride in participating in leadership positions and community service opportunities. These civil engagements advanced my knowledge on the importance of Public Health in practice.
With that same passion, I have cultivated my research interest into obtaining my Master's Degree in Epidemiology with a Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. While in my graduate studies I have enjoyed using statistics to discern health related issues across an entire population.
Upon completion of my graduate degree, I intent to pursue a career as a hospital infection preventionist. In this role, I will have the ability to recommend preventative measures for slowing the progression of diseases, survey the health of the patient population and investigate significant health threats to the patient and medical staff.
